Oromo Stool (African, 20th Century, 1950s)

Description: 

This vintage stool is carved from a single piece of indigenous hardwood by the Oromo people of Ethiopia. It features a gently curved seat and a beautifully aged patina, reflecting traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

 

Condition: Signs of wear consistent with age and use add character and authenticity. These are not considered flaws but part of the stool’s unique history.

 

Country of Origin: Ethiopia

 

Date: 20th century, 1950s


Style: This item is rustic, but its African art is perfect to combine with a rustic Scandinavian style.
